Diary of Time RULES AND GUIDELINES
___________________________
Welcome to Diary of Time. While a part of this roleplaying community, the administrators and staff require that you follow the rules and guidelines set in this post. Please take note that offenses to these rules will not be tolerated. Proper action will be taken upon obstruction of the guidelines.
___________________________
1.) First things first: respect is a necessity on this forum. Any form of disrespect or discrimination will not be tolerated, and you will be punished accordingly.
2.) Do not - and I repeat - DO NOT argue with the administrators or staff of this forum. They were chosen for a reason. Their word is final, whether you agree with it or not.
3.) Please be aware that this is an intermediate-advanced roleplaying forum, meaning that your posts should be up to par. We do not require a sample post to go along with your application, so please take into consideration that we will be reviewing every part of your application with precision.
4.) This roleplay is rated PG-13. We do not have restrictions on language, although if you're unrealistic about it we will let you know. Drugs, violence, and alcohol are all allowed as well, but, again, if it's unrealistic you'll be warned. Put the phrase 'Romancing' in the extra section of your application. There aren't too many restrictions regarding sex, put some sort of warning in the title of your post.
5.) Keep in mind that power playing is strictly prohibited. Unless you have the opposite character's permission, refrain from acting as an all-controlling deity in your roleplay posts.
6.) Please try and stay active if you plan on joining this roleplay. We know very well how easy it is for someone to join one week and then abandon by the next, and, frankly, we don't like it.
7.) One of the most important aspects of roleplaying here is to remain realistic. This is a real-life roleplay, meaning we don't want to see your characters gallivanting about with magical powers.
8.) Refrain from nagging your roleplay partners. If the person you're roleplaying with hasn't replied to your post, be understanding and give them time. Muse can be lost just as easily as it can be gained. You can send a friendly little reminder through PM if you haven't heard from them in at least a week, but please, no more than that.
9.) We allow you to have as many characters as you'd like, but please make sure you keep each and every one of them active. Also, make sure that there's only one character per account.
10.) As far as avatars and signatures go, just keep them at a reasonable size. The maximum for avatars is 100x100 pixels, and although there is no designated size for signatures, keep in mind that we will call you on it if itstretches the page. Make sure they're pictures of your character, too.
11.) If posting an unfinished application please label it so we know that we don't have to read it until it is finished.
