The year is 1770 and with the Civil war just over the town of Charmeine is finally settling back down. Farming is going back to its usual self, Women are awaiting the return of their husbands. Children are once more playing in the feilds enjoying their youth. Churches are once more filled with people on Sunday mornings, Everything is starting to look up for this unfortunate town.
But how long can it stay perfect, how long can any one town stay happy and wholesome. Everything is going to change now that the men are returning. The town is developing and land is being bought by the king, people are being forced out of their homes and people are frightened another war could break out at any time. In this small town in England, so much happens. But everything happens for a reason.

The characters of this town are somewhat mysterious, the main one being the prince whom no one knows about. His disappearance in 1755 came as a shock to the town who'd known him as an important part in the society and how the town was run. With the death of his father during the Civil war and the Prince missing, people doubted their town could continue to populate itself.

The prince having no idea of his fathers passing continues to live in the solitude of a castle he came by once playing in the forest with childhood friend. Maria, now known as Maria Cort. This town thrives on friendship love and farming, its one that continues to prosper even through the hard times, and the doubt that people feel.
